Sump

So what exactly is a sump?
Someone I know is selling a 15 gallon sump. Should I buy it?
I have a 25 gallon fowlr tank?

a sump is an extra container of water, connected to the main tank. in increases the total water volume, and is also a place to put your heater and any reactors and skimmer if you have one, so that the main tank isn't all cluttered up with those things.
if you think it's worth the trouble, get it. if not, you'll do ok without it.
