Sump

I feel like I know a lot about saltwater tanks but when it comes to sumps that is a gray area for me. If someone could tell me what they do how to get one/ set one up and what I need for one.

Basically a sump is somewhere that you store all you skimmer, heaters and filtration etc it also increases your water volume which is always a good thing. If you google it there are plenty of ways to make one or you can buy one ready built one. You can also use this as a space for a refugium to grow pods and macro algae to benefit the tank.
