uilding a new sump from acrylic have plans will post pic but would you guys recomend 3/8" =.354" or 1/4"=.220" acrylic i would think 1/4 because of lid having cross brace and all the baffles acting as braces too, any idea?

could i use 1/4 for baffles? snd just stay away from 1/4 for sides and bottom?

def without a doubt do 3/8' baffles. my acrylic baffles in my diy sump bowed considerably. luckily for me they are holding ok for now.

I used a standard 55g tank I had sitting around and my baffles are 1/4" acrylic (wish I would have went thicker) and ill find a pic here in a few.

water flows from right to left (im a lefty, so everythings backwards)

I also opted to only do a double-baffles between chambers 2 and 3. mainly because I knew microbubbles weren't going to be an issue and I wanted to maximize the space for the refugium.
