sump

i have a 100 gal tank not drilled a can not it has been set up for 2 years .i want to setup a sump wondering how can i do this right do not want to lose fish help

If your tank is not drilled then you need to use a hang on overflow. There are various styles of hang on overflows of those I prefer the U tube styles vs the styles that require a powerhead to keep the syphon.

You then plumb your overflow to your sump and then use a pump to push the water back to the tank.

Adding a sump should not affect your bio filter at all.
