I got 25 ibs of live sand for my fuge and I was wondering will it start a mini cycle ? My tank is almost 6 months old

probably not, if it's live sand that's purchased off of the shelf at the LFS. there is not much chance of anything being live in it after it's been deprived of oxygen for so long.

Alright so I don't have to worry about a mini cycle thanks

When filling my up sump do I fill them right to the top of the chambers?

I said "probably not", not definitely not. Always keep a water change on hand when doing anything major to the tank.
Yes, the water will have to be filled to the top of the partitions.

I was able to convert my hob eshopps 100h to a insump by unscrewing the intake. Now it's pulling out tons of brown gunk out almost a whole cup in a day is that to much?
