Sump Cleaning

my sump has got really nastly looking since I have started my tank in Nov. Is it okay to completely clean it out with out hurting anything. By cleaning it out I mean by just draining it and usuing a cloth to wipe all the nasty crap out of it. Not using any thing else to clean it

Yeah, no problems there. Do it as part of your PWC too, bigger bang for the buck. I typically do my PWCs from my sump anyway.

If you have a spare sponge for the return pump, it's a good idea to either replace it after the cleaning (or before then put the old one back). Less stirred up stuff will make it back into the display
