Sump/Protein Skimmer question

That's just a Union you see there Steve not a check valve, i thinks that's what your referring too.. So i just can disconnect it there when ever i have to separate the overflow from the sump tank..

I will be putting a check valve on my return though..Return pump will be here Monday or Tuesday...

Well , finished the plumbing of the sump.. Im using a mag 9.5 return pump and i added a gate valve to divert water back over to the skimmer section if the output of the mag 9.5 is a little to high

I was able to drill the back of the tank and add the over flow kit from Glass-holes.. 700GPH (very nice kit by the way).

Octopus XS 160 Skimmer rated for tanks sizes up to 160 gallons.

Almost Ready for water!!!
