uh, so I'm not sure if my sump pump is submersible or if it's external. I got it second hand with a 75 gal and sump I purchased. Forgot to ask the seller. How can I tell?

Is there a serial number on it? If so type it into google it should pull up what kind of pump it is.

good idea. I googled it and believe it is submersible. It's a pondmaster pump.

Pondmaster pumps are submersible am almost positive used them for ponds and are great pumps.

Yep im using a pondmaster 9.5 on my tank. It was given to me by my boss and he used it for years. High quality and very quiet.
