Ok
I am researching and reading about sumps etc.. I have tank I would like to use for my FOWLR..
50g (30x18x21) I believe the bottom is tempered glass so I need to determine if the sides are not, then see if I can get it drilled..
Assuming I cannot drill the bottom, How many holes am I drilling and where?
Pump size? how do I determine what size pump?
I have a 10 gal tank avail to use as a sump but I think it is too small. I found a 30 gal tank set-up for a sump on Craigslist I might look into or I will build my own.. with either a 20 or 30 gal tank
lastly, in the event of a clogged return line or some sort of stoppage of water going to the sump, how do I keep the pump form pushing water to overflow the tank?
I understand the pump stopping (outage) and being sure the return water stops before overflowing the sump..
