I bought a 700gph pump with a 3/4'' return. I'm going to try it out and take it from there, I didn't want to spend so much on a mag 7,9 or 12...

I know, I found a pond/aquarium pump offline for less money figured I'd give it a shot. It was $30

It's included in the link on my thread that I ordered when I got the ph-800 overflow

Be very careful choosing what electrical/mechanical devices you are planning on submerging in your tank water for extended periods. I don't know why people buy vortechs and expensive LED lighting, then use rio or no-name pumps. Just thinking out loud here....

Thinking of a mag 12 or eheim 5k. Probably the mag.

This is the one I picked up, I know exactly what you mean. I just thought from the description and specs it was sufficient.
