what is your ammonia source? If you don't have something that produces ammonia then it will never cycle.

I use pure household ammonia from walmart but other use shrimp that decay in the tank. (if you use shrimp but them in a mesh bag so it doesn't get all over your tank)

Okay, how many should I put in my tank?

Thanks, so I was aloso told that because I added cured live rock, sand etc that it did a small and fast cycle. For two days I had both ammonia and nitrates at 1 then it went back to zero

just sounds like to me there possibly wasn't enough ammonia to cycle so 1 shrimp should do the trick.. some people use pure ammonia but I personally have not tried it

Okay I added a shrimp into the water, I will check back in a few days from now
