Tap Water Vs Well Water?

As i read and read in a lot of threads there a few that are using Well water to start off there SW tanks? I use Tap water and just wondering what is the difference between the 2 and does it take longer to condition the water between the 2?

I guess the difference would be the amount of impurities in the water. I would think well water quality varies by location just like tap does. I'm not sure what you mean by condition the water. Neither will make a difference as far as how the tank cycles.
Using either will probably get you started with water that has many more impurities than you would have if you used RO/DI water to start with.
