Temp vs. Flow

If I had to choose which would be better having more flow or having a lower temp?

I recently added a second mag 5 pump to my sump which raised the temp to 81 ish when it was running at about 79-80, however I now have more flow in the main tank. I added the pump to help combat the diatoms on the glass and sand.

just want to get some thoughts.

More flow up until you are no longer able to keep temperature under 84F. In addition to a temp above 84F temp swings are also important to keep undercontrol. Adjust your heater so when the lights are off the temps dont drop more than 2 degrees.

yeah this is the second day I have had it installed so Im still tweking the heater. I also might try and use it as a closed loop system but I need to get the funds to buy one of those water pressure driven wave makers and read about it alittle more.
