What temperature should I keep my tank at?

I keep reading/hearing contradicting advice. Some say 80 - 82°F, others say 73 - 77°F.

I have a 38 gallon, with 2 x false percula clowns, banggai cardinal, orange seastar (maybe), coral beauty, 2 x cleaner shrimps, royal gramma.

My tank is currently at 78 - 79°F during cycling, which it quite happily sits at all day/night, and doesn't fluctuate much. Is it ok to stay at this temperature?

I'm in the UK by the way, if that changes anything! :p

Thanks!

80-84F is good for a reef. Most of the worlds reefs are btween 82 and 84F. Most of the literature available suggests temperatures that are too cool IMO. Corals grow better if kept in an environment that best simulates nature.
