test kits for reef tank

I read some post and alot of people are recommending Salifert as a good test kit, however 56 buck for 50 test seems like a steep amount can anyone else recommend another "GOOD" brand for a reef tank that is more affordable or atleast provide more then 50 test? thanks

What are you testing for? I use the Saltwater Master Test Kit, does what I need.

I use this one. It is cheap and easy to read...except the pH....I seem to have trouble determining the shade of purple! LOL!!

I think you will have to buy a CA test separate. Not too sure what all tests are run for a reef.

I also use the AP master test kit as well which runs around $15 online (drsfostersmith.com is cheapest currently) or $30 at the lfs. It works fine for the basic ph/nh3/no2/no3 tests and I use Salifert for ca/alk and other advanced tests where I want more accuracy and they typically run $15-$30 for each test online.
