Hi all, had my system set up a while now but only just got the salifert carbonate hardness/alkalinity test i just did my PH, calcium and alkalinity here are the results

PH - 8.0 (about 5pm)
Calcium - 500+
Alkalinity - 10.2 kg/dkh or 3.65 meq/L

The calcium and alk seem really high is this anything to worry about? I dont dose any sort of additive for calcium or alk but i did do a few large water changes in a row a few days ago to lower nitrates which im guessing is why the calcium is so high

My PH was at about 7.2 before i attache an airline from outside to my skimmer.

What should the alk be at is the 3.65 meq/L too high?

Many thanks

Salinity is 1.025 measured with a refractometer o calibrated before doing it, ammonia is 0 phosphate 0 nitrite 0 temp 25 Celsius if this helps
