The pet store near me has a mantis shrimp

This things are supposedly known for breaking aquariums. It looked really cool too but it didn't attack the fish in the tank to eat it, it just waited for it to die and just started eating it like a lobster would.

No *scratches head* I thought it was cool, it was on TLC or DISC channel on one of those amazing animal shows like the worlds strangest births etc and I was surprised it was there.

Wow, thats pretty amazing. I love the colors, But I also like my fingers in one peice.

Lots of people keep mantis shrimp in a tank dedicated towards them. Since they cant be kept with any other creatures. However they are a facinating creature with beautiful colors.
