To get shrimp or not?

I was thinking about getting a shrimp in my tank.

any suggestions as to which one to get?

what kind of cleaning is required when the molt?

I love my shrimp, almost more than my fish. Get a cleaner or a fire shrimp IMO. Or both.

hate and love my cleaner shrimp, they are great fun to watch, they tickle your finger when your hands in the tank and yet at the same time, they disturb my corals, steal food from the corals, tip stuff over and just cause chaos all day in the tank...

peppermint shrimp...never see him till lights are out for an hour or so and even then hes smaller and faster but only climbs on the glass, hes my fav.

Yep love my shrimp! And I just peel the molt off of my power head when it gets stuck there. Otherwise I just leave it.

I have yet to see a molt. I believe the shrimp eats them.

i like the skunk cleaners myself. i like them in groups of 2 or 3. i believe their benefit far outweighs any aggravation they cause. no extra maintenance is necessary. like gearhead said, you can leave the molting, or remove it...it's up to you.
