Today is my 4th day...

curing the live rock I received. The water looks so nice and clear I decided to test for ammonia just for the heck of it. OMG! it is 8.0 ppm 8O it could be more but that's the highest reading in the card. The scary part is that when I had my first tank, as soon as I saw the water looking nice I went and bought fish! Without testing! BIG MISTAKE!! Now I know... *sigh* I guess I have long weeks ahead before I can have my first fishy.

Probably about 2 to 3 weeks or so. When you cycle with uncured live rock it seems to go a little faster to me. But yeah 8ppm is kinda scary to see on the card. Especially if you don't even have to wait for the 5 minutes before it turns dark.
Good luck! Kat
