Trash can leach??

Is it possible that my black 32 gallon trash cans that I mix water in could be leaching chemicals into my water?? The were bought from lowes for 16 bucks a piece.

If not using Brute, look for the circled NSF label/marking, usually on the bottom. These are supposed to be safe to hold food and should not allow chemical contamination. Even some smaller 5g containers have this.Click image for larger version
