trimming cheato macro algae

So the cheato is almost filling the refugium. At what point do you trim it back? How much do you trim it back. I was thinking of cutting it in half. Do any tangs (or other herbivores) eat this stuff? Thanks...

no, tangs don't eat it. some crabs do. ripping out half seems reasonable.

My tangs didn't really eat it, but my Foxface lo did.

Try to find a local club or other reeers that would take it from you, or see if a local lfs will trade for it.
