Tropic Marin Ratio?

So, i've just got some tropic marin salt but, there's no guidelines on the box for a basic mix.

Anyone know the average ratio to say a gallon? (in grams please)

It probably depends on your target salinity, since there isn't a universal salinity that all marine or brackish tanks are maintained at.

A refractometer would be essential in this regard.

Instant Ocean is a half cup per gallon for reference.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Well, I read around some other places and people are saying 3 cups in 5 gallons gives them around 1.026 sg.

My problem is, what equals 3 cups in grams?

i'm guessing around 600g? the problem is trying to convert from a measure of volume (cups) to a measure of mass (grams). you're going to have to test it as you go.

Yeah seems like that, the tank is a 90 litre, the box says it does 120 litre.

The box weighs 4kg, so through some simple math, it seems like I need about 3kg?
