Two new questions

1. Lighting on fuge?? I leave mine on for about 12 hrs a night.... I've seen some people leave it on 24/7 ..... are there any ill affects from doing this??? Would it just help the macros grow faster ??????

2. Nitrate test kit.... I use a Redsea kit and it tells me to wait five minutes and check..... 5ppm... somwhere around there.... after the test tube sits with the mixture in it for a day or so the nitrates go up.... any reason ??? am I not getting a good measurement ?????

1) 24 hours is fine for most fuges and can actually help prevent some macros from going sexual. What do you have for macros in the fugure?

2) I have gotten weird results after leaving tests around for a few days. Just follow the steps on the test and dump it out once you measure at the reccomended time.
