??? used Biocube

Is 150 a good price for a 29G Biocube? No stand, but has pump heater and hood/CF light with leds, in "great" condition? Cleaned out and empty, has the compartments for in the back. Maybe 4 years old...

Sounds like a good price to me. I see them go for 300.00 here.

I did a lot of research in biocubes, I decided against them as all u heard was light and fan burn outs. That being said if you want it for plug and play is try to get new one 4th gens have resolved a lot of issues. If you want it for the design and don't mind replacing parts to upgrade out of the component issues then go for it

I've seen threads and videos where owners add a hydor slim skim and different chem filtration in back gut the hood and swap out the compacts (replace often) to leds
