Virgin Mary Peppermint Shrimp

Ok ive got a peppermint shrimp that ive had for like 4 months now. It is the only one in the tank but today i foud that it is carrying eggs. I read that some shrimp can reproduce multiple times from one fertilization but it has been 4 months and this is the first time ive seen them. Will they hatch? I dont know if i wanna raise em but they should be good food for the tank if they do hatch.

If it is only the one pepp they will not be fertalized and the shrimp will end up eating them. The eggs will usually appear after the shrimp moults. If there is another pepp they could easily become fertalized and hatch but will most likely not do well and the fish will have quite the feast 8O

>>Here<< is a related article on rearing skunk shrimp that should give some crossover info.

Cheers
Steve
