volitan lion tank size

in a previous post i was contemplating getting rid of my volitan when it gets too big for my tank, then some one said that the minimum tank for them is 55gal , my tank is 70gal, what do you all think, will he be able too live in there for life?

If it is the only fish...you may get away with it, they ae sedentary by natre so don't require lots of swimming room, but I still think your tank is too small for a full grown volitan.

Your right the MIn! size 55 gal according to the books. But I also agree that it may be a little sm. for a full grown Lion.HTH

i had a lion for several years and it got about 6 1/2" long. I had him in a 75 originally but felt he was cramped with the spread of his fins. Moved him into a 240 and i was much happier with it.

yeah i just dont think its enuff room for a full grown volitan.
