Wantin to set up a salt water tank

The upkeep is dependent on what you have in the tank. You should plan on weekly or biweekly water changes. It is not difficult once you figure out the game.
 
I wouldent go less then 55 for my first salt tank the smaller the tank the faster stuff can go bad as soon as u have the experience then I would go with a smaller tank put in some time be for u go nano tank IMO
 
I agree 25 is doable, but once you catch the fever you will want to go bigger!
 
25g is doable and you can save some money by skipping a skimmer which you can't really do on your larger tanks. Weekly water changes and proper maintenance are the key for running a small tank. And if youre not doing corals you can get by with cheapo lights too, the fish actually don't care. :)
 
Hmm sweet, if something continues to happen to my freshwater I may switch it over...any ideas on how to start a salt water?
