Water Change %

Is it safe to perform a 75% water change for an aquarium containing ONLY already cured live rock and sand?

I ask because the current water is tap water, and I recently installed an RO/DI system. There is alot of brown algae on my glass, which doesn't scrape off easily so I was going to do a thorough cleaning and ensure the "bad" water was flushed out.

If that is all that is in there then you would be OK. Just dont do that if there is fish in there. Smaller more frequent PWC`s then IMO.

Test the existing water for phospahates first in case you find a 75% change really might not help.

And by the way Rocky, Good move getting the RO/DI unit. Your tank will be much better.
