Water? Does it matter?

Okay I filled my tank up with tap water from my kitchen...turned on the filter...can't afford the sand and stuff yet maybe in couple of weeks? But I just read on melevsfeef.com that you have to buy water from ur lfs? Is this true? If so what's the best way to get te water out of my aquarium?

Tap out, RODI in. Siphon the old water out and start over, it will prevent MANY future headaches

Lots of places beside the LFS sell RO or RO/DI water. Either is much better for your saltwater tank than tap water is. Or if you prefer, you can buy your own filter system and filter your own water.
