Water level

The water level in my 75 gallon saltwater tank is always going down. I have to add almost a gallon a day to get the level where it needs to be. There us no leeks the only thing I can come up with is that the water is evaporating. Is this normal and is there something I can do to fix it

I lose over a gallon a day on my open top 125g tank. You can cover the tank to help but your best bet is to set up an auto top system.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

covering the tank is not a good idea. evaporation is important in closed systems. it means gas exchange is taking place.
