Does anyone see a problem with me using a wax paper cup in the aquarium to help a mushroom attach to a small rock?

I figured this way the water current would not blow it off the rock and it would attach over the course of a few days.

I use wax paper cups (Dixie brand specifically!) to skim the protein accumulation off the surface of the water. The salt water makes it limp in short order, I don't know if it would hold up long enough for the mushroom to attach if i understand your intensions correctly.

What about using foam cups? if it ever get to break down, they will float up away from you having to looking up, down, behind and hard to get places....

Ya I am a bit worried about the saltwater and will check often to make sure the cup is holding up. The cup overall wont be under much stress so i hope it will hold together long enough.

i would not use foam cups i believe that is a petroleum product
