What is best to clean the outside of my glass i know there are many products you buy to do so, right now im with a spray bottle with water and newspapers works alright, just seeing if there is anything else?

I just use a dry paper towel or napkin. I find that water smears the salt.

I just use pure vinegar and a rag. The 50/50 mix wasn't working on some of the spots on outside tank glass.

I use windex. I spray the paper towel away from the tank and then wipe down the glass

If I have a stubborn mark I use vinegar/water. Typically it's water spots/salt which I buff out with a dry cloth.

Steel wool. Seriously it's the best. Don't get any in ur tank though.

NEWSPAPER and water/vinegar mix....Best combo ..I use it on my tanks ,windows and plasma screens (y)

The ink from the newspaper doesn't smear? I used to deliver papers and I looked like I worked in a coal factory when I was done!
