what is the difference?

What is the difference between the diffent kinds of lr? (fiji ,keys ect.)

They are the same in that they will provide your biological filtration, but they differ in:
Color
Density
Shape
Porosity
Price

It's just a matter of what you want and how much $$$ you have

Technicly the amount of life found on them can be different. Usually key and gulf rock with have more biodiversity than fiji rock but fiji rock is usually covered with more purple coraline.

About half of the total weight of the rock in my tank is figi. The other half of the weight is tonga. I would go so far as to say their is 200% more tonga in my tank as far as size goes. The figi pieces are my favorite though. If I had the money I would have gone all figi.
