i have it sitting on top of my LR and was wonderign what it is, if i should worry about it or if its nothing.

it looks rather fuzzy

can you easily scrape it off or blow it off with a power head? if so, it might be cyanobacteria. nothing to freak about, but it seems to be very common in new tanks.

no i've used my power head to blow some dusts around to my filters and it hasn't moved. i'm goign to do a PWC this weekend and vacuum the sand a little bit so i'll see if it comes off easily.

it looks pretty cool so i was going to leave it, just wondering if it was benificial or not

im with x, it also could be red coraline, and if your rock is naturally that purple im JEALOUS

lol i love it. it wasn't really this purple at all with coralline algae but its really blossomed, so i like to think my water parameters and everything is is really well done and i'm **** proud of my accomplishment
