What size PH?

I would like to add PHs for circulation. I currently have an extra Maxijet 1000 and a RIO2500. The MJ1000 seems to move a fair amount of water. The Rio turns it into a perpetual whirlpool.

The plan is for a reef tank with various soft and hard corals. Question is, how much turnover within the tank is necessary? What do you all use?

most will average 10 times your water volume in total turnover. It's also to do what you can so that the water movement isn't just a straight stream. Alternating powerheads on and off or having the streams colide to create turbulance is what you want to strive for.
