What are the main thing you test for, I used to take mine to shop and they did it all and just said if it was fine or not, didn't say what they where testing

Disregarding fishless cycling, i test when i think theres a problem. I should probably test more but i believe i would be able to tell in the behavior of my fish if anything was wrong. There's no chance of my nitrates building as funnily enough i preform water changes every second day.

Every other day, you must be buying replacement testing kits every month.

Yep. That's why it hurts the wallet. Usually I use test strips for the daily. I use the master kit on weekends :p So I guess I don't really test for everything.

I have a API saltwater master kit - it has ammonia, nitrites (I only used for cycling) high range ph and nitrates. I only test ph, nitrates and phosphates now, once a week.

I got the reef master test kit API

That dose
Calcium (CA2)
Carbonate hardness (KH)
Phosphate (PO43-)
Nitrate (NO3-)

I thought there should be more testing than this, or is this normal?
