What to feed snails?

Hey any suggestions on feeding my mexican and astrea snails would nori work or do i have to buy the lfs dried seaweed packs? And whats the best way to feed them does the seaweed desintigrate they ate all my algae in the first night lol.

If you put a sheet of nori or the dried seaweed in the tank they will eat that.

Is there any side effects to the tank like ammonia spike or anything like that and do i just drop it in on top of the LR?

The seaweed breaks down after a couple of hours and it will add nutrients to the tank just as if you were feeding your fish. As long as you don't put large amounts of it in there you should see any problems. Even just a 2" x 2" piece would be a lot of food for your snails. You will probably need to weight it down or tie it to a piece of rock so it doesn't float away.
