I'm just getting started bought my first aquarium seven weeks ago. I currently have one hermit crab, Live Rock, Creature furniture, and seaweed to cover the heater and provide some cover. My question is what fish are compatible with Blue Actinic lighting as well as with a passive hermit crab?

Fish and hermits crabs don't require appropriate lighting to live. If you are gonna to keep corals tho, you'll need a right amount of light to keep them healthy. For now, if ur only gonna keep fish and hermit crabs, any light that helps u to be able to see things in ur tank is good :)

Actinics can be cool and give the tank an almost blacklight appearance. However, because they are not bright, I would think something like a 50/50 bulb would allow for better viewing of your inhabitants.
