what's in your return pipe??

Ok, I'm reposting this since I didn't get the answer I was hoping for. Can anyone tell me where I can get a covered "strainer thing" for my return pipe, or at least what the correct name of this piece is called?
I've seen them at the pet store with screens on top and I would like to pick up a couple before I add any fish.

sorry, i meant to attach a pic of that I was talking about. I'm referring to the tube strainer that sits inside the return pipe.
