Hello all, quick question. Just out of curosity, I asked my LFS manager what SG they keep their SW fish in and they told me 1.018 and recommended the same to me. They even have some LR and LS in their tanks. I was told that this SG is healthier for the fish in the long run and it won't harm LR, LS nor shrimp. I was also told that corals do require at least 1.023 SG, but I'm not interested in keeping them. Won't 1.018 SG cause Ph problems (dropping too low), or will the LR and LS help keep the Ph up? Right now, I have my SG at 1.024-1.025 in my 40 gallon FOWLR tank. Should I gradually drop it to 1.018 without affecting Ph Since I have LR and LS? Thanks a million!
