When to add corals

I have a new tank set up about 2 months. I have 2 clown fish and a few snails in the tank. Fish have been in tank for about three weeks and are doing great. My question is how long do i wait before i add my first coral and what would be the best to start out with. I have a 30 gallon tank with a 96 watt 50/50 light.
I am looking to put some color into the tank.

Thanks

Richard

Most corals are more sensetive to hight amonia, nirtite, and nitrate so make sure your levels are all in check. Ph should be 1.023-1.025. With three watts per gallon you should be able to keep some mushrooms and polyp colonies. Place them high in your tank and add a power head to create flow if you do not have one. Start slow with one colony and see how it goes. Feed a good quality food designed for filter feeders. I use DT's live food. Good luck and let us know what you get...Lando

just to edit what Lando said a bit... PH should be 8. SG should be 1.023-1.025.

Also, from the way it seems, most experts are suggesting anywhere from 6 months to a year before adding any sort of coral or anenome.

Other good starter corals would be something in the leather family.
