Which filter?

Well I am going to start up another tank. Its going to be my old 55gal. When I went to the LFS they had a sale on Cascade filters, so I bought a cascade 300. I initially bought it to replace the mighty max wet dry that is being used on the 20gal QT. But I later noticed that the cascade 300 is rated for up to 100gal. So now I want to know which is the better filter for the 55gal? The mighty max worked perfectly when I had the 55gal running in the past, but will the cascade out perform?
