which first sand or live rock?

so i read when doing a sand bottom somepeople do live rock then sand to make sure the rock wont fall over or be dig out from under it to make it fall. which do u prefer do do first?

Egg crates first then rock then sand

It will be added support for your rocks incase of the sand shifting. Rockwork collapsing can be devastating...especially in a glass tank.

It makes a cushion between the glass and rock. It also helps when stacking it.
