My first SW tank! I've waited a long time for this.
Here's what I'll be setting up with

50 Gal tank
2x 150W Visitherm Heaters
Instant Ocean Salt
2xMaxi-Jet 900 powerheads (230Gph/each)
Remora Aqua C skimmer
Fluval 305 Canister filter( got it free with my tank so why not)
2-3" sand bed
stock Lighting for now(1x 10000K@30W 1x 12000K@30W)

I've heard that I can put LR in after a day of initial setup? Is this true?
I want to get 40Lbs to start
CF will be my first upgrade

any suggestion or comments?

First of all,welcome to AA !! :D

50gal tank is a good starter
2 heaters are always good, but visitherm may crack...
IO salt is good, but I'd rather use Oceanic salt.JMO
2 Maxi jet PH are good
AquaC Remora skimmer. excellent choice
Fluval canister is good choice too. Ditch the bio rings, because those are nitrate factory.
2-3" DSB is good. I'd use 2" PS to save $$$ and 1" LS
Lighting is ok for FOWLR.

LR is a good filtration source for SW tank. You can put LR in since your tank still in cycle process. GoodLuck!

Yeah the LR will help to cycle the tank and go ahead and get it started with cultivating bacteria.
