Zebra eel not eating

I've had him a week now and have been unsuccessful at feeding him. He is still very active in the early am. He was being hand feed krill at lfs. I have tried the same krill was eating at lfs, fresh shrimp, fresh scallops and even bought some seachem garlic solution to soak food in to get to eat. Still have had no success. I tried to hand feed but he hide every time I stick my hand in tank. I'm not sure what else to do. I left a few krill in tank this am but am a little worried about it making my ammonia level jump.
