One of my mom's co-workers has a extra 30 gal tank that he is giving me for free, and I've been looking around for fish to eventually stock it with.
I'm not sure of numbers yet, but here goes:

Marble Hatchets(Carnegiella strigata)
Sparkling Gourami(Trichopsis pumilus)
Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami(Colisa lalia)
Opaline Gourami(Trichogaster trichopterus)
Yo-Yo(maybe diff.) Loaches(Botia almorhae)
Green Tiger Barb(Puntius tetrazona)

will these work?
any other suggestions?

Psyhampster....

Personally, I'd stick to one kind of gourami if at all possible. Most male anabantids can be aggressive toward other males and the Opaline Gourami males might not take kindly to the Dwarf Gourami males (and vice versa) because they are similar enough in appearance for mistakes to be made.

Be warned that Marble Hatchets are good jumpers. They can and will leap to there death thru the smallest opening. A good hood is a must.

Sparklings look so nice. I would be very careful in tank mate selection though. Some one with more experience with them might be able to help.
