46 gallon HELP. please :/

My choices---
1- move media, substrate and let colonies form.
2- ammonia and check readings daily.

I hope that is the 2 choices. I so thank u for helping me. I apologize but I want to b sure.

Moving some (not all Save some for the fish in 10g to keep it cycled) substrate and media will help with the cycle BUT then you need an ammonia source. Either from bottled ammonia or the fish themselves.
What plants depend on your lighting.

As much as it takes to get it up to 4ppm. It won't be much. Only a few mL. There's an ammonia calculator around somewhere. :/ Yes just plain ammonia. If it foams when you shake it, it's no good.
