55 gallon cycle help

Did 2 50+% water changes today got my nitrites down from 5+ ppm to between 1 and 2ppm. Fishless cycle I have 0 ammo in tank nitrates not so theyve been around 10ppm for awhile plants are using them up, so should I add any ammo today maybe just up to .5-1ppm or let it be for a day or 2 and see what nitrites do??? Thanks

I had nitrites stick before. I did a water change and continued dosing 4ppm of ammonia and things progressed. You probably just had your normal nitrite spike.
