55g river tank

So here's some pics of the 55g river tank we started. Cycle has finished, rosy reds feeders in there to keep the bacteria going while I work on plants and getting the stocking going. The 3 big tubes you see on one end are pseudo canister filters. The power heads draw in the water from the two sponges one the other end, which passes through the tubes then out the power heads. Two tubes have ceramic bio-balls, the Eheim small ones, the middle one will have Purigen.

I was a little worried at first about the lightness of the gravel, but once it was cleaned up I was very pleased.

Yep. It's one of those you get by the foot at Petsmart. The other side is more of a heavy planted tank picture but has some "blue sky" poking through.
