55g tank fish

I have 2 fancy goldfish(oranda and a fantail) and 5 zebra danios. I will be moving them to a 55g tank soon. I want to know if there are some smaller fish that I could also put in there with them, ones that will get along well.I also plan to have a few live plants as well. I wanted to put another goldfish(3 total fancies in the tank) but I feel that it might be overloading and better to put in something smaller?

I wouldn't go more than the two goldies in a 55. You could get away with it in a 75 with the greater volume if that's in the budget. Keeping tropical fish with goldies can work, but if you kept the gold fish without a heater they wouldn't grow up as fast and they won't produce waste as fast.

You could keep a school of guppies or platys of you don't mind the babies.

White Cloud Mountain minnows do fine in an unheated tank
